I can remember it like it was yesterday. My mum going into our local VHS rental shop down the street, Starks, and renting “Return to Oz” fully thinking it was as whimsical and charming as its beloved and cherished prequel.
It turns out it’s a bit scarier than the well-known and loved 1939 “Wizard of Oz.” Yet my sister as a six-year-old, and me as an eight-year-old, instantly loved it!
"Return to Oz" is a 1985 dark fantasy film starring Fairuza Balk in her first role ever as Dorothy Gale (remember her from “The Craft” anyone!?) as she has trouble living a normal life months after coming back to Kansas. Her experience in Oz has influenced her life greatly, yet no one around her seems to believe her experience was real.
Dorothy’s Aunt Em (Piper Laurie - “Catherine Martell” in Twin Peaks!) is out of ideas for what to do, so she takes Dorothy to a very creepy doctor to see if he can help her sleep better. After a huge storm hits that night, Dorothy finds herself back in Oz, but everything has fallen apart. The Emerald City is in ruins, and it seems that the only entities roaming the streets are disturbing creatures that Dorothy does not recognize. The Wheelers! She realizes that Oz is under the control of an evil empire, and that she, along with some oddball friends she makes along the way, must take the reins to save Oz, and her beloved friends like the Scarecrow.

All yarn is gently washed and rinsed. Each skein is lovingly hand-dyed, which makes them all unique, even in the same dye lot. Please be mindful that upon first wash, a little dye may bleed. Even though many of these bases are superwash merino wool, I still recommend hand washing to prolong the life of your yarn/garments!
I have done my best to accurately capture the colors of the skein, however, colors may vary slightly.
