In β€œMidsommar,” HΓ€rga is the name of the Swedish cult celebrating their Midsommar festival, one that they honor every 90 years. The HΓ€rga adorn themselves in lovely crisp white gowns, which they call frocks. These frocks are embroidered with delicate blue, red, and golden embellishments, making the dresses pretty and summery. πŸ”ΈπŸ”ΊπŸ”Ή
However, these intricately made garments also serve as a strikingly beautiful contrast to the sinister and shocking events that the HΓ€rga people undergo during their Midsommar celebration, which adds even more symbolism and complexity to the story this film tells

All yarn is gently washed and rinsed. Each skein is lovingly hand-dyed, which makes them all unique, even in the same dye lot. Please be mindful that upon first wash, a little dye may bleed.

I have done my best to accurately capture the colors of the skein, however, colors may vary slightly.

Turnaround time is 3-6ish weeks after preorder ends!

A little extra info about these new plant based yarns:

π™°πšœπšπšŽπš› πš‚πš˜πšŒπš”/π™΅πš’πš—πšπšŽπš›πš’πš—πš: named after a famous director (π’šπ’π’– π’Žπ’Šπ’ˆπ’‰π’• π’Œπ’π’π’˜ 𝒐𝒇 π’‰π’Šπ’Ž!) and the delightfully purple and gold, late summer flower.

A dry-wearing, breathable, and versatile base that’s a dream to wear for warm weather and light layering. Both bamboo and linen wick moisture away from the body, while staying dry to the touch, dry out quickly, and can be breezy or lightly insulting, depending on the form and density they’re knit into. This blend makes an excellent alternative when the weather warms up enough that your other knits get a bit too warm and stuffy (gotta love extending knits season!) The 70% bamboo provides a natural silky softness, while the 30% linen adds a touch of toothy texture that softens over time with wear and washing. Linen’s natural strength also adds durability and resilience to this blend. The combo of fibers also makes for a unique semi-matte sheen that looks somewhere between fancy and folky. With this delightfully functional base, every season is nice for knits.

π™³πšŠπš’πšœπš’ 𝙳𝙺 πšŠπš—πš π™°πš—πšπšŽπš•πš’πšŒπšŠ πš‚πš˜πšŒπš”: continuing on the π’‡π’π’π’˜π’†π’“ trend with these two 100% cottons skeins! Named after each of these flowers’ natural, charming beauty, and their bright white bases that actually quite resemble the bare cotton yarn.

Both of these 100% Pima cotton bases are beautifully draping and luxuriously easygoing. An elevated take on that familiar cotton look and feel, while also providing a more thermally neutral alternative to the warmth of wool. Pima cotton is a high quality variety of cotton that’s softer, stronger, and more pill resistant than basic cotton varieties. These qualities largely stem from the longer staples (individual fibers) of Pima cotton, which also help make it more breathable, as the smoother less fuzzy yarn lets air and heat pass through more easilyβ€” a nice complement to cotton’s naturally off-body drape. Both of these bases are excellent for any project that calls for all-around versatility of wear and a timelessly classic look and feel.
