Colorway synopsis:
This brought-back-from-the-dead colorway has been renamed to embody the character of Susie, played by Jessica Harper, in the Dario Argento original “Suspiria.” In this first film version, Susie is curious and concerned when she starts to hear strange noises at night, and of course when maggots start falling from the ceiling (which, fun fact, I read the crew would drop grains of rice down onto the actresses from above). She asks questions and meets with the head dance instructor, Madame Blanc to try to get to the bottom of why bizzare and unwelcoming things are happening at the studio. Susie is brave when danger faces her.
This is a far cry from the Susie depicted in the 2018 version, played by Dakota Johnson, who is seemingly pleased to be under a powerful spell from the leaders of the dance company; it quite plainly turns her on. I created this colorway a few years ago, and now that I’ve brought it back I wanted to give it more dimension. This “Susie” colorway has just a bit more aqua and more rosiness than the original, allowing the blend of these colors to seam together more fluidly.
