Colorway synopsis:
In the 1977 “Suspiria,” one of the main ways the dance studio witches (sounds so cool to say that), practice their incantations is by completely controlling Susie, mainly by poisoning her food, making her sick, but also keeping her compliant. One night, Sara rushes into Susie’s room with a shocking revelation, “Wake up! Susie, do you know anything about witches!?” However, Susie is under an unconscious sleepy trance, unable to fully wake up and accompany Sara as she ventures into the night to investigate what is going on. In pop culture, green is commonly associated with witches, and in my opinion, this is evident in Argento’s “Suspiria.” Whenever the lighting is green, it is representative of when evil is threateningly lurking.
